Lavender Smudge – Large
Our dried lavender bundles (Lavandula) are the perfect choice for smudging rituals, blessings, energy, and spiritual cleansing. Native American cultures spanning from Canada to Argentina. It has been practiced for thousands of years as a cleansing, blessing, and spiritual ritual. Smudging involves the burning of sacred herbs or resins and using the smoke to cleanse or bless a person. A place or thing depending on the ritual and its purpose.
Hold the lavender bundle on one end, and using a match or lighter. Light the bundle on the opposite end until it’s well lit. Once lit, let the bundle burn for about 10 seconds. Gently blow out the flame, and the smouldering herb should leave a trail of smoke. Waft the smoke gently on any surface you wish to cleanse, bless, or rid of negative energy.
Always have a fire-proof receptacle or Abalone shell with some white sand in it to put out the bundle as required.
Smudging lavender brings positive energy, helps open the heart chakra, it aids in releasing fear while calming the mind, helping to protect the spirit.
